SHANNON ROYSTER: Terry Jarvis may be at the dentist’s office, but at the Charlotte Center for Cosmetic Dentistry, she’s also in for a spa treatment. DR. PATRICK BROOME: We try to pamper them so they enjoy their visit. So in a way, we’re really kind of deprogramming from other experiences they’ve had in the past. We want to make it good going forward. MS. ROYSTER: Terry gets a paraffin wrap for her hands. The dental chair doubles as a massage chair, and she gets a blanket and pillow to keep her comfy all before the dentist even walks in the room. And the pampering doesn’t stop there. You can catch a movie with these video goggles, or you can listen to your favorite tunes with this iPod using these noiseless headphones. DR. BROOME: Put these movie googles on. MS. ROYSTER: First, Dr. Patrick Broome does some laser dentistry on Terry’s mouth. Then she’s offered what no other dentist’s office in Charlotte, can Botox, Restilin, and facial laser resurfacing. DR. BROOME: We really tried to listen to what patients have asked for. FEMALE VOICE: Convenient, cuts down on time. You can have the procedures all done the same day. MS. ROYSTER: That’s where Dr. Ray Hagney (phonetic) comes in. DR. HAGNEY: I understand there’s some concerns you have about your face with maybe some wrinkles. MS. ROYSTER: He’s a highly trained oral and maxillofacial surgeon. He’ll straighten out the wrinkles on Terry’s forehead, and fill in the ones around her mouth truly giving Terry something to smile about. FEMALE VOICE: I think it’s wonderful. It’s convenient.
